Bihar Declares ‘National Complaint Day’ for Citizens to Vent Officially

New public holiday dedicated to creative grievances and bureaucratic poetry.

In a cathartic policy breakthrough, Bihar’s government has designated the first Monday of every month as “National Complaint Day.” According to The Hindu, citizens are invited to file complaints, shout at bureaucrats, or express dissatisfaction in interpretive dance.

“We realized people were already complaining daily,” said Minister Ramesh Yadav. “This simply formalizes it.”

The holiday includes complaint carnivals featuring best grievance competitions, poetry slams about potholes, and live dramatizations of government hold music.

Public offices are transforming into “Emotional Release Centers,” where employees wear noise-canceling helmets. Early data shows morale improving—at least for citizens.

Critics call it performative, but defenders argue it’s democratic therapy. “India has over a billion opinions,” said one sociologist. “Letting them out at once is cheaper than therapy.”

Experts predict a nationwide rollout, though some warn it could crash complaint hotlines. The ministry promises an upgrade: “Our servers can now handle both outrage and laughter.”
